The annual Songkran Festival is here again!

This year's Thailand Songkran Festival is from April 12th to April 16th, a full 5 days. Of course, the most grand day is usually on April 15th. It is recommended that friends who do not have enough holidays choose this time to rush to Thailand!

1. "The most complete guide to Thailand's Songkran Festival"
Thailand's Songkran Festival, also known as Songkran Festival, is the grandest traditional festival and joyous festival in Thailand in a year, equivalent to China's Spring Festival. It represents the beginning of the new year, so in order to celebrate the arrival of the new year and pray for peace and smoothness in the new year, Thais will celebrate by splashing water.

2. "First encounter with Chiang Mai"
If you can only spend the Songkran Festival in one city in Thailand, I suggest you blindly choose Chiang Mai! Chiang Mai is the small town in Teresa Teng's "Small Town Story". Just like its other name "Northern Thai Rose", it is a romantic city that needs to be slowly smelled.

The city is surrounded by mountains, with a large flat grassland in the middle. Green is splashed into every street in the city. Rose-red and purple flowers can be seen everywhere, plus golden temples. Even a casual walk is a great enjoyment.

As soon as you step into here, you can feel the strong atmosphere of the ancient capital. As early as the 13th century, King Mengrai established the Lanna Kingdom in nearby Chiang Rai. Chiang Mai has more than 3,000 well-preserved monuments.

Tha Pae Gate is the most prosperous and lively attraction in the ancient city, but it always has the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of Chiang Mai. The bright sunshine of the small town, the ancient red walls and flocks of pigeons are really healing.

There are as many coffee shops as temples in Chiang Mai. Latte at 60 baht, dirty at 70 baht, and special blend at 100 baht firmly lock everyone's heart. There are unexpected surprises at any street corner.

The market is dominated by exquisite handicrafts, original bags and clothes, and beautiful silverware and ceramics. When passing by each stall, you can also see the owner slowly sewing embroidery.

3 "Walk into the local kindergarten, bring care to the left-behind children from poor families in northern Thailand, and become a guide for the children!

Many niche treasure villages are hidden in Chiang Mai, and Namjum Village in the north is one of them. Away from the hustle and bustle, strolling on the quiet country road, while feeling the primitive village, you are also touched by the local poor and backward life that is still full of power.

Unlock the most local Chiang Mai" The morning in the countryside of Chiang Mai is the smell of rising smoke, the orange-red morning light falling on the rice fields, the wind blowing through the banana leaves, and the children running barefoot in the yard chasing chickens. Life is simple and pure.

The project leader Jack developed this place into a folk experience village with his passion for protecting village culture, and at the same time brought care to many left-behind children from poor families. We went to the local kindergarten in Chiang Mai, learned simple numbers and English with the children, and carried out outdoor development together. Companionship is like a beam of light, illuminating the soft hearts of children.

4. Visit the lonely elderly
There are still many elderly people living alone who have lost their ability to work. Their children go out to make a living, and the village is becoming quieter and quieter. Their stories are quietly put away by time, and only the occasional passing wind will turn a page. So we will visit the lonely elderly in the village. Sit in the yard together in the sun, listen to their stories of youth, do housework, tidy up the yard, participate in farming, or just hand over a cup of hot tea, and watch the sky warm up with them.

5. Experience Thai culture, Thai food and herbal balls
Learn to make authentic Thai food from the villagers, go to the spice farm, pick natural spices by hand, feel the temperature of the soil, and experience a Thai cooking class "from field to table". Follow the locals' handmade rhythm to make a herbal ball by yourself, select herbs, crush and mix them, wrap the essence of nature in a cotton bag, tie it tightly, and tie it into a full herbal ball.

6. Experience Muay Thai in person and feel the wisdom and skills contained in every move and style. Under the guidance of an experienced Muay Thai coach

Participate in a meditation activity in a local temple and have a deep dialogue with yourself. Every breath is a connection with the heart, and every peace of mind is like a rebirth of life.

7. Go to the hot spring park and enjoy a soft-boiled egg.

There is a hot spring park that is loved by locals hidden in the countryside of Chiang Mai. It is surrounded by green trees. Soak your feet in the hot spring pool. The water temperature is just right, and the warmth goes from the toes to the heart, and the whole body relaxes. The most special experience is to cook soft-boiled eggs in hot springs. Buy a basket of raw eggs, gently put them in the spring water, and wait quietly for a few minutes. Take them out and peel them, and the perfect soft-boiled egg yolk flows out, fresh and rich, with the sweetness of hot spring water.

8. Become a friend of elephants and respect every life.

MAETAMAN Elephant Eco Valley in Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai, Thailand, is a family business with more than 30 years of experience. It has been providing care services for elephants and giving many people the opportunity to come into contact with elephants. As volunteers, we can observe the most natural life of elephants up close, accompany them to stroll leisurely in the dense forest, and wash off the dust in the clear river. Stroll in the herb garden, while appreciating various wild plants, learn about various herbs used to maintain the health of elephants, and make delicious "nutrition ball" desserts for elephants by hand.

9. The ultimate Thai environmental protection: elephant poop paper!

We will process the fibers in elephant dung by washing, mixing, fermenting, boiling, screening and drying, and personally participate in the process of producing paper, which is environmentally friendly and magical.
